Dreams are so weird.
The Merriam-Webster defines dreams as "a series of thoughts, images, or emotions occurring during sleep." Dreams can reveal hidden desires and fears. Current worries and frustrations can be worked out through dreams. One could also dream of parading through an underwater town on the back of a green, pink, and orange elephant (I'm going to assume that this can't really happen...).
Dreams are limited only by our imaginations and subconscious.
So long ago
Was it in a dream, was it just a dream?
I know, yes I know
Seemed so very real, it seemed so real to me
Took a walk down the street
Thru the heat whispered trees
I thought I could hear
Somebody call out my name as it started to rain
Two spirits dancing so strange
Ah! böwakawa poussé, poussé
Dream, dream away
Magic in the air, was magic in the air?
I believe, yes I believe
More I cannot say, what more can I say?
On a river of sound
Thru the mirror go round, round
I thought I could feel Music touching my soul, something warm, sudden cold
The spirit dance was unfolding
Ah! böwakawa poussé, poussé

I have been teaching my students how to collect different things to inspire them for their personal narratives. Last week we covered dreams....and nightmares. In the book I was reading to them, a little kid referred to nightmares as nightmirrors, which is kind of funny because dreams can reflect things that happen in real life.
